One thing that all human beings and animals have in common is aging which eventually leads to death, some of us have the pleasure of living to the ripe old age of 70,80 90, and above. No one in life prays to die young we all wake up everyday asking for the protection of God. For some of us who have lost loved one we know how painful it is. The lost of a mother, father and even pets affects us greatly and we wish that is nothing like death.
As time goes on we realize that aging or growing old is an inevitable part of life and all we can do is to accept this fact and try to either slow down the aging process or avoid the many diseases associated with growing old. We cannot reverse the process. Aging but there are factors that can be establish which can help us in slowing down this process.
It is no longer news that the average death age of people nowadays falls in 40s and the 50s, people are no longer leaving to the age of seventy and above. But the amazing revelation now is that there are developments that can help us to get to the age of 70 and even get to the age of 120. These as a lot to do with the things we know and not only knowing but the things we are ready to do. Leaving a well balanced life can help us to get to this old age and not only getting there but maintaining that youthfulness you crave.
Many of us neglect one major factor that beauty radiates from within and the more effort you make towards self happiness by having peace of mind and avoiding the stressful lifestyle you live can help you in achieving your youthfulness. There is hope for people to live healthy and more fulfilling life because of the advancement in technological development that encourages researches in the field of human health. Many companies have been able to discover the cause of aging quicker than normal and efforts are being made to slow down this Aging process.
Food or what goes in to your body is a determinant factor in your Aging process. The input you body receives can prevent some of the degenerative diseases associated with growing old, the nutrients and vitamin supply your body receives will enhanced the vitality of your body and prevent the acceleration of aging.
There are factors responsible for aging and they can be avoided if the right steps are taken. Some of the factors include: Free radicals, Glycation, Methylation, and Inflammation. To some people this terms will be strange but people with medical orientation will know what all these means. For the sake of the others I will take time in explaining what this terms means.
Free Radicals: human being needs the presence of oxygen to survive and for as long as we are exposed to oxygen then a process called oxidation will occur, which bring about the emit ion of substance called the free radicals in the body. These free radicals in the body quicken the aging process and can create a lot of damage to our health. Free radicals are just molecules in the body with an incomplete electron and through the process of searching for the electrons they affect the chemical structures of our body.
The body cannot avoid the free radicals because they are necessary evils, the small quantity of these radicals in the body can help the body develop but ones it is becoming excess then we have to take steps in addressing it.
Glycation on the other hand is much more dangerous than free radicals because this a process that use what the body needs to attack the body. The body needs protein to survive because protein helps the cells in the body to function properly meaning that protein should exist on it own not in conjunction with many other substances or what we call molecules. But this is not really possible because of the existence of some substances called the glycation agents these substances include: glucose molecules, sugars, and similar chemicals known as aldehydes. These chemicals attach themselves to the protein thereby preventing it from performing it primary function. These attachment leads to the formation of bio chemicals which attacks the body and speed up the aging process.
Methylation: This can simply be explained as the addition of the methyl group substances to the various constituents of protein, DNA and other molecules in the body. These is an important aspect of body metabolism which helps the body to function well the absence of methylation in the body can lead to death. This is how important methylation is to human existence. Methylation is an important aspect of the body but too much of it or the inadequate amount of it can lead to diseases such as Alzheimer and Dementia. The most dangerous effect of methylation is that it can lead to heart attack.
Inflammation is another factor that has to be monitored to prevent it negative effect on the human body. The cause of inflammation cannot be narrowed down to one thing but it can really destroy the human body because it has been proven that inflammation is responsible for almost all the diseases associated with old age. The fact that all the above mentioned factors are interrelated makes it difficult to actually trace the cause of this factor.
Preventing the negative impact of these factors: We have taken the pain to explain some of the factors that can accelerate the aging process, we now need to know how to handle these factors and make use of them to the benefit of our body.
The effect of Free radicals, Glycation, Methylation and Inflammation can be minimized by doing the following: we need to maintain a very clean environment devoid of pollution and radiation, though the technological advancement that we are witnessing all over the world will not make this easy but we really need to put a lot of effort into doing this. In the olden days I have read about people living to a very old age simply because they maintain their natural habitat, so the price of technology is what we are witnessing. The use of antioxidants can also help in reducing the negative effect of these factors in our body, the anti oxidant will help in eliminating the damaged cells in the body caused by factors. Anti-oxidants are available in unprocessed foods which are very difficult to come about now-a-days. The anti- oxidants are also available in the common vitamins that we take such as: Vitamin A, C, and E and other vitamin supplements. Avoid the intake of food that act as glycation agents, the consumption of food rich in carbohydrates and sugar can cause glycation and this will have a negative impact on the body. The cures and prevention of the negative impact of these factors on the body are interwoven simply because their actions on the body are also interwoven
