STARDOM AND DRUG ABUSE

Growing up in the 1980's i fell in love with music most especially the music of Micheal Jackson,Bobby Brown,Whitney Houston and many more. As a matter of fact Bobby brown became my idol and Whitney became my main girl, all of their music and everything about them appeal to me.You can then imagine how i felt in 1988 when Whitney and Bobby got married it was as if i won a lottery, as if i will be leaving in the same house with them enjoying all the luxury that they have at their beck and call.

If you have succeeded in imagining how i felt then then it will be possible for you to now imagine my sadness when i began to get the news of their marriage failing and the fact that they are both drug addict. It was as if the world will end

But the world did not end, if at my age i feel this way about this couple i wonder how the younger ones will feel.What i now came to realise is the fact that it is as if drug use is not a taboo in the world of stars.Imagine the numbers of those stars that have been hooked on drugs some have successfully win the battle while some are still fighting the battle.Some have not even realise that it is a problem, some believe it is just a way of life.

Whitney and bobby are musicians, let us talk about the movie world.Many of the popular movie stars are coming out to admit their addiction to this disease killing the society little by little. Sport stars are getting disgraced every now and then simply because they have spike their system with drugs.I wonder what we will do about stardom and the tendency to destroy lives is it that the devil is giving them fame and taking their souls in return or is it just lack of discipline?.

The pictures above is convincing enough to show the damage the use of these drugs can do to human beings. You can see the transformation of these music stars. what do we talk about is the fact that some people make money from destroying the lives of others by selling this destructive substance to their fellow human beings.

We can talk about Stars and the popular people, but what about those unknown people dying of drug abuse and addiction every day. The devil is destroying the world and we are helping him to succeed. God is good to us all but according to the bible "what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loose his soul". The world is nothing but vanity upon vanity, that is why we have to think about how we will live our lives in the life after,are we going to be proud of the legacy we will be living behind when we die.Let us think on these.

I pray for those who have been caught in this web that the good Lord will intervene and bring healing to them. but you need to turn to him first because when all treatment fails he alone can bring you what is called Divine healing.And for those who are in denial, you need to come out,seek help, talk to people and most importantly talk to God.
